Peppol

The European network for the exchange of e-invoices.

Peppol is not a format, but a network plus specification. Companies can be found via Peppol IDs, transport runs via access points and the AS4 protocol.

Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 applies to the content: EN 16931 plus its own rules (PEPPOL-EN16931-R001 to R080).

An invoice is not delivered directly, but rather via the four-corner model: sender, sender access point, recipient access point, recipient.
